FOIP aims to strike a balance between the public’s right to know and an individual’s right to privacy, as these rights relate to information held by public-sector bodies in Alberta.
The Village of Edgerton Employees are trained, and have signed confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements. Which are bound as life time agreements. Any and all information presented by a person or pertaining to a property is considered confidential.
Councilors sign many forms that confine what they are able to discuss outside of Council Chambers. Including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
