Waste Transfer/Recycling Site
Edgerton is not licensed by Alberta Environment as a Landfill site but rather as a Waste Transfer Site. This means that all items collected at the site must be of a recyclable nature; able to be placed in the Bins at the site or be clean burnable such as tree branches and non treated/non painted wood with no metal, glass or nails, to be placed the burning pit.
Items not allowed to be delivered to the Edgerton Waste Transfer/Recycling Site:
Wire of any type;
Shingles or any other asphalt roofing material;
Grain of any type;
Cement or concrete of any type.
The Waste Transfer Site is supervised at all times and residents are asked to cooperate with the instructions of the Site supervisor.
There are recycle bins for:
- Clear Glass
- Tin Cans
- Florescent Bulbs
- White Goods – appliances, televisions and computers
- Alkaline Batteries (small dry batteries)
- All Household soft plastics including all plastic jugs and containers, grocery and other plastic bags
Please rinse and remove labels and lids.

May 1 – September 30
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm; Saturdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
October 1 – April 30
Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm; Saturdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
