Councilor Deanna Jackson

Biography

Deanna Jackson was born and raised in the community of Edgerton, growing up on a farm just 10 miles out and completed her education at the Edgerton School. She married her husband Tom, another Edgertonian and they farmed south of Edgerton for over 40 years. Deanna has 3 grown children and worked in the Credit Union system for over 20 years, part of that time was in Wainwright and part in Provost. Deanna has been on many Committee’s over the years, Home & School, Curling Club, Agricultural Society, St. Mary's Anglican Church, 4H, the Cemetery Association, Recreation Board, Wainwright Ambulance Society, Battle River Lodge, and the Sports Association....just to name a few.

Deanna's Grandparents owned Sawyers Style Shop and the Pool Hall when she was young and Deanna loves to reminisce about the history of our wonderful Oasis!

"Becoming a councilor was something I never really anticipated but my belief is everyone needs to support and give back to their community to make it successful," as Deanna says, "Everyone needs to do their part!"
