Building Edgerton’s Future: A Ground-breaking Step Toward Growth and Sustainability
On March 11th, 2025 we celebrated a significant milestone in Edgerton’s growth story. The ground-breaking of our new lagoon and force main marks a transformative moment for our community—an investment that will ensure long-term environmental health, economic opportunity, and responsible development.
For over 8 years, this project has been shaped through collaboration, hard work, and strong partnerships. We’re deeply grateful for the support of the Government of Alberta, the Government of Canada, and the M.D. of Wainwright—without their contributions, this project would not have been possible. The project received funding from the Province of Alberta, the Government of Canada, and the Municipal District of Wainwright.
This project not only addresses our community's current needs but also positions Edgerton for future growth. With a sustainable, modern wastewater system, we’re creating a foundation for attracting new residents and businesses. It’s a promise to protect our environment and deliver lasting prosperity for generations to come.
